OUR DECEMBER MEETING

For the few who missed our December meeting you can view the entire proceeding above. We had an excellent turnout of members and their spouses and family members, a good meal and excellent entertainment.

There were only two items of club business that had to be taken care of: The first was the swearing in of a new slate of officers for 2012 ("Meet the new boss, same as the old boss"). Once again it will Glenn Wood as club president, David Fitt as vice president, Chad Pullin as treasurer and Bob Quigley as club secretary. At next months meeting we will be discussing committee chairmanships and member assignments. The next item of business was the completion of perfect attendance awards. This process started at last month's meeting but could not be completed since a few of the lapel pin had not arrived. The recipients this month were all high timers and, of course, the highest timer of all was Rawley Collins with 62 years of perfect attendance. They don't make a lapel pin for 62 years of never missing a meeting, so short of giving him a new car it was decided that Rawley would receive a certificate attesting to his record shattering attendance.

Entertainment for the evening was provided by a jazz group called, "Splaaat", and they gave some really neat jazz stylings of the best known Christmas songs. With over seventy people attending the meeting a good time was had by all (though in all probability there must have been someone there who wasn't happy.. haven't found him yet.).
